Pullip Face Up: Boy am I learning

I worked on the doll a bit more. Was able to finish her eyebrows.

I am seeing other brows online and I can definitely do better but for now I am happy with them.

Next I added blush and a bit of contouring on the face and then started working on the eyes.

I made the cheeks red and the added yellow with red to the area on either side of the nose by the nostrils and on the top near the brows. I am happy with that part.

What i learned for that is that when you apply the chalk pastels it is best to apply with a Q Tip. Dust on some chalk and then blend in with your finger if you add too much. At least this part worked for me.

If you dont like what you did an eraser is your best friend. However, keep in mind that the more you erase the more fixtive you remove. I erased so much near the eyes that I can't paint on it because there is nothing for the paint to grip onto. So now I need to spray it again.

You want to avoid spraying as much as possible to avoid fuzzies on the face.

Now one thing I am having difficulties with are the color pencils. They are not going on smoothly. Maybe it is my color pencil but it is driving me nuts!

I brought out the acrylic paint but that isn't going on as nicely as I would like. The lower lashes are a nightmare to draw on lol. No idea how I am going to do those. I mean my brush is tiny and it still doesn't help. The color pencil has more defined lashes but it is not going on smoothly. Ughh...I hope I can figure it out.

I have a lot of work to do on the eyes. So don't worry because what I showed above will be fixed. That is just where I left it tonight.

I will keep the updates coming!

XOXO,
Lina
