Pure Epicness!

They are here!!!!!!!!! OMG my friend John did an amazing job! I am sooo happy with the pictures...so these are only a few of the pictures but I couldn't wait to share them.

:O Don't we look amazing?!?!? hehehe...I love how the red and blue look together. This time I went all out with the wig!

Feel my Vulcan power!!! Muahahaha
Here we are inside...getting ready for an amazing day!
Lol..here we have Wonder Woman amazed as she looks at my ears.

Posing for pictures. It is an amazing feeling when you have people stop you and ask for your picture!

Okay, what you are about to see was the first highlight of the day. One of the vendors pulled out a prized possession that she had with her and shared it with us since she saw we were huge Star Trek fans. So the phaser you see below was actually used on The Original Series and had actual film time!!!!!! She now has taken it to different conventions and has collected the signatures of the original cast. From the picture you can see Takei's signature and Koenig's signature. On the top was William Shatner's and on the other side there were more signatures.

She had brought it this day to get Koenig's signature. The phase is worth thousands of dollars and not to mention the history that it has. They unfortunately couldn't get Leonard Nimoy's signature in time but it is still great. I am so happy she shared that with us because she did not have to do that. Was a great surprise!
Then the next highlight of the day is this right down there. We got to take a picture with Walter Koenig, or better known as Chekov!!!!! He was packing up and we were kind of scared to ask for a picture because they usually charge a lot. I asked John if he could go ask anyway as we were walking away because well the worst they can do is say no. Well John went and ask and Walter said, "Bring them over!" :D OMG we couldn't believe it! That was so kind of him. And I will admit I was star struck when I saw him. I stood in front of him and he smiled. For a moment I was going to jump on him to hug him but quickly thought, "Lina, don't freak him out!" lol So no hug! We thanked him afterwards and I thanked him for being a part of something so great (Star Trek)! and with that we ended our day at the Comic Con!

LexCon Purchases

I still haven't gotten the pictures from LexCon but I wanted to share the few things I did purchase. I was on the hunt for funko pops of Star Trek but could not find many. Only found Picard and Deanna Troi. They had the Orion Slave Girl, Klingon, and Andorian but I want the main Characters first.

Geez my phone is honestly the worst at taking pictures. Anyway, I also got Queen Amidala.

The next stuff is for me to hang on my walls.

The TNG crew! And also the original crew:

I need to get frames for these. This next one is the last I took pictures of but my favorite.

How awesome is that plaque!?! I also got another poster of the USS Enterprise and another of Hogwarts.

Again, I had a blast in this Con. Can't wait for the next one.

XOXO,
Lina

Lexington Comic Con: Sneak Peak!

Guess where I was yesterday?!? Yup, Lexington Comic and Toy Convention! This is the second convention I go to and I just keep getting more and more addicted to them. This one was larger than the Cincinnati Expo and it had a ton of toys!!! I went with a group of friends and we all dressed up :D

Here I am on Saturday prepping for Sunday.

I was very pleased with my wig. It was soo beautiful and I cut up the bangs. The ears I had made last year. I got a ton of compliments on them and got told by many people that I should make them and sell them. Hehehe seriously thinking about it if so many people liked them.

This is Sunday morning driving to my friends house so I am not dress yet but have my wig and makeup done.

I felt like Katy Perry! *rawwwr* And now for the costume.....

:D I am so happy with how it all turned out! These aren't the best pictures because the are taken with my phone but my friend took his Cannon and has all the sweet pictures. When he is done processing them I shall share them.

For now, I just leave you with those as sneak peaks! This convention was amazing. My friend and I got asked to take many pictures with and for people, got asked for business cards because people thought we were professional cosplayers. It felt amazing to hear people's compliments on my costume. This was my original idea and I made everything except for the corset. I will share cool stories when I post the good pictures.

Overall, it was great! :)

XOXO,
Lina

Star Trek Funko

My Funko Pops finally arrived!!!! Wait, okay you have no idea what I am talking about. So about a month ago I kind of went Funko crazy. I wanted to collect everything...now! It all started because I bought a Sauron Funko for my fiancee as a gift. That got me hooked and I kept looking for more and more. I ended up buying most of the Lord of The Ring ones which I will show on a different post. I am missing gandalf, bilbo, and gollum. Since I am late in this Funko collection game thy are actually difficult to obtain and super expensive now. So those will be collected later on. Anyway, so from there I said, "Lina, control yourself!". I wanted to get all the Star Trek Funkos but at $10 each that is a lot of money to spend at 1 time. So the plan was I would buy them slowly and in the summer.

Fast forward, Leonard Nimoy dies :(. My first thought? Oh noooo people are going to buy out all the Funkos of Spock!!!! I immediately went on Amazon and ordered one at a decent price while I still could. I debated what other Funko to get along with him and settled on getting Data from TNG. They are both awesome so why not! Well they finally arrived and I am sooo happy!
Like the backdrop?! :) hehehe (That is one of the many projects I need to work on but no time!)

Here is how they come packaged:

Here they are individually:

I absolutely love them!!! Can't wait to collect them all. I really want Worf and Locutis. They look sooo cool and detailed! I hope to collect all the ones from TOS and TNG. I wish they would release other members of TOS and launch the DS9 crew.

These little guys will be happily displayed on my bookshelf. One shelf is specifically Star Trek stuff.

Oh and as for my prediction of the Funko prices and stock? The next day Funko had sold out of Spock Funkos on Amazon and the ones being sold were starting at $40 and making their way up to $100!!!! Good call on my part right?

XOXO,
Lina
