DIY: Time Travel Camper Kit

My doll camper is finally here!!!! Okay okay let me back up and explain. I was watching the hollycopter on YouTube and saw her building room kits which I had found before online and thought they were adorable. Well in pinterest I had found on that was a little mint camper. I was in love with it but had no idea where to buy it.

Until now! Holly bought one and put it together!!! I was able to get my own camper from banggood.com and it finally arrived today. It came from China so it took 12 days to get here. So with out further-a-do, here it is:

Look at all the little details in this kit!!!

There is the bag of goodies. You assemble everything from the picture yourself! :)

And here is the camper! For those wondering it is all made of wood. I thought it was plastic but it isn't which is great. I plan on painting it.

This is everything that is in the big plastic bag. So many pieces! This is going to take a while to assemble but it is going to be loads of fun!!!

Since I am obsessed with Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit I decided I am going to do a themed camper based on them. I want to recreate Bilbo's house!

Let's see how that goes! Stay tuned for more updates on this project.

FC Cincinnati!

Yesterday was a pretty productive day. We cleaned a lot around the house in the morning since we were going to have a busy afternoon.

We first went to my friend's baby shower

We played cornhole, ate lechon, and mingled for a bit. Unfortunately, we couldn't stay for too long because we had to make it down to the match afterwards. It was great seeing her though.

We got to the stadium and the general admissions area was already pretty full. But we managed to get some seats.

It is a pretty nice stadium. Eventually the place filled up and they had 19k in the audience.

:D Selfie with the hubby!

The game started off badly with Cincinnati losing 1-0 against Toronto. But in the second half they did not disappoint! They scored 2 beautiful goals and won 2-1!!!!

The fans were great and very enthusiastic. Had a lot of fun! Hope to go to more matches in the future.

Fun By The Lake

Today we did a first. We went boating in a lake in Indiana. My goodness was that fun! We have 44 people and 4 boats/pontoons.

The day was beautiful and sunny! Perfect for being out int he water!

The best part of the day though was that they brought a hotdog floatie!!!! The husband and I had sooo much fun riding that thing around.

Ahh we definitely have to plan this again. I had not had that much fun in a while. So glad our friend set this up. The trip gave me boat fever hehehe. Maybe in the future we will look into getting a pontoon. Would be great when one has kids. Hit the lake every weekend when the weather is nice. Hey, a girl can dream right?!

Kettle Bell Silver Program Workout

Those that know me know I have been physically inactive for almost a year. No working out what so ever. 2 years ago I had joined crossfit and I had absolutely loved it. But due to our crazy schedule from work and homework I had to quit. Plus it was a far drive opposite of where I lived. I tried picking it back up last year but I felt I was being forced to do it. It was not enjoyable and I lost motivation.

My husband bought all the olymipic weightlifting equipment because that is his sport and he wanted to work out at home. So we literally have a gym walking distance from our bedroom and I still didn't work out.

I have been a huge couch potato this whole time. And in that time of me being a couch potato something happened to me that had never happened in my 26 years of existance. I was weighing more than 100lbs. I first went up to 103lbs with out realizing it. Then 107. Now between 109-110lb.

Normally others would freak out by the weight gain but I am actually super happy about it. I have wanted to weigh 112lb since for ever. That is a good weight for my height.

However, I did not put on this weight through muscle mass and that is a problem. So I decided to do something about it.

I had a kettlebell workout book my husband bought me when I was doing crossfit the first time and was all motivated to work out. In the book there are three 6 week programs that train you using kettlebells. They are silver, gold, and platinum.

I had tried silver before but stopped around the same time I quit crossfit. This time I want to finish it. That is the new item on my bucket list!

There are 4 workouts a week, 24 total. I started Monday and just finish d my workout from today. Next two are Friday and Saturday. Two down 22 to go!

I can do this. Then when I finish that I will move to gold and finish off with platinum! I kind of want to add a tracker somewhere on this page so we can count down my work outs together. Let's see if I can figure out how to do that.

Wish me luck on my journey, I definitely need it because I hate working out. I need to stop being lazy though so I can reach my goals. I know I am better than this and deserve even more from myself.

Next challenge will also be to transition what we eat. We eat out a lot and not always healthy food. That definitely needs to stop. I will post more on that when we cross that hurdle. We want to meal prep and will try to start it this Sunday.

Take care everyone! I leave you with a picture of me with my favorite little boy!:)

He was crying because we wouldn't let him be with us while working out. The hubby felt bad and brought him to me. He is such a little baby but I love him.

DIY: D&D Volcano

Today I randomly decided I was going to make a volcano for Dungeons and Dragons. Everytime I get new items with interesting shapes I keep them stored away. I keep boxes, pringles cans, styrofoam, etc.

For a while I had this guy:

It came in a box of something my husband ordered. Cannot for the life of me remember what it was :/. Sorry about that part. As soon as I saw it I knew I could use it to make a mountain. I put it away until I found something else I could use along with it.

I was organizing the craft room and found this brown paper:

It is used for packaging and fill in empty spaces in your boxes. Since it was all crumbled I thought it would look exactly like a mountain if I covered the styrofoam piece with it.

I decided to make this into a volcano so first I cut out a piece in the styrofoam with scissors.

The little part in the left that you can see in the picture above will serve as an entrance to the volcano. The husband came up with that idea.

Once the hole was cut out i crumbled the paper more and started wrapping it around.

Once I had it how I wanted it I would secure it on the inside by using my glue gun. I secured the top through the crater and the bottom underneath.

Here it is completely covered all around. I am pretty happy with it. For the entrance i rolled up some paper and created an arch to hold it open.

This is how I left it for now. I also covered the inside with paper because of the way I plan on using it. Might be seeing the inside so need that to look like rock also.

I do think I will be adding some paint to this to darken it up a bit in some spots and make it look more real. Then I will finish it off with modge podge so it hardens and preserves the paper.

Hope this inspires others to make their own mountains/volcanoes and is helpful!

Kings Island

Yesterday we celebrated one of my friend's Birthday. It was back in March but I promised I would do something to celebrate and yesterday was the day. Better late than never right?

I got a group if friends to meet at King's Island to help celebrate. He did not know where we were taking him. We even blindfolded him on the way there hehehe

He guessed it once we arrived at the parking lot and he heard the roller coasters and the people yelling. He was pretty excited we were there.

I couldn't get on anything, not that I would anyway because I don't like roller coasters. But I enjoy watching them go around. They started off with the Banshee.

The started off with a pretty intense one. Eveything else was a piece of cake after that.

Here you see Invertigo. That one looked pretty crazy also.

It was a cloudy day and eventually it rained so all the rides stopped BUT it worked out great because the park was fairly empty. They got to ride everything they wated without waiting much in line.

Oh and they also had food trucks there that day. It was perfect because it was much cheaper than the food they regularly sell there. Got to eat some Venezuelan food which was soo good.

The only thing I got on was the merry go round, which Jorge and our friend didn't want to get on lol. We forced the guys on.

I qlso rode some bumper cars but played that one safe because of my kidney infection. Didn't want to irritate the kidneys.

I also rode 1 roller coaster. I think it was Adventure Express. It was not bad at all. No drops, thanks goodness for that.

It was the hubby's first time there and he really enjoyed it. We walked a lot and came back all tired and straight to sleep.

We brought the pups back some of the prizes Jorge was able to win from the games.

They were so excited about that part. Overall, I would say it was a sucess! Only thing we missed was the water park. Hope to do that next time.

Glad I could surpirse my friend at least and he had a blast with his friends! :)

My Poor Kidneys! :(

Went to the doctor today due to really bad pain on my back. I got home yesterday and was complaining that my lower back was hurting. My husband and I thought it was because I was exhausted. I had been doing a lot lately and under a lot of pressure so we thought it was that.

As the nught progressed the pain started travelling up my back through the left side to under my rib. It felt like if I had something swollen or bruised inside me. O.O I had felt this pain before and it was my kidneys.

I was going to head to the hospital last night if the pain continued. I took some pain killers and eventually the pain died down. I went to sleep until the next morning.

Woke up today and felt okay. Got in the shower to start getting ready for work and the pain started up again. Now I never want to go to the doctor unless it is serious so I was waiting.

I couldn't take it anymore and got worried once it was hurting me to stand, sit, breathe. To cut the story short my husband rushed me to the doctor. Which btw was a very painful drive!!! There they determyI had a urinary tract infection that was making its way to my kidneys. That was the same thing that happened last time I felt this pain.

They gave me very strong antibiotics and sent me home. Pain got worse on the way home and I even got a fever. I wanted to lay down and didnt know how to because my kidneys were swollen. Anything touching them hurt so badly! :( Took some more painkillers and here I am now. I feel much better at the moment. Hope the pain doesn't come back. Need to take those antibiotics as prescribed.

I am now win the garage with the husband while he trains. Brought a puzzle I had started last summer down and finished it :)

I was able to finish it without the picture which was pretty neat. I now have 2 completed and like 9 to go. These are going to be framed and hung around the house eventually.

Ahh gotta run. The hubby is hungry and gets angry when he waits too long lol. Going to eat at our favorite place in Hyde park!
