Anywho, let me talk about the mass. The whole ceremony was on Saturday in the evening. Here I am with the husband before going to the event.
Do you like my dress? Jorge picked it out for me! Seems he did a great job because evryone kept commenting on it. Good job honey! hehehe
We arrived at the church and waited around for things to get started. They kept all the candidates in the dark about what was going on so it could be a surprise. My sponsor was there and guiding me on what I needed to be doing. She did a great job and I am so glad that I met her and she was my sponsor.
We started out outside with the lighting of the candels. They had a pit fire outside
They lit the baptismal candel amd them we walked into the church to light our own candels.
Here I am with my candel.
From here on I don't have anymore pictures because well we couldn't exactly be taking pictures while enjoying the mass. We did get a video of the opening of the mass where everything was sung. This was mindblowing. Jorge and I talked after and said that we felt like we were in the Lord of the Rings. Can't put the video because it is 14 minutes long but it was amazing!
They had banners made for each of us and were hung up in our pews
Beautiful right? I am super happy with everything and really enjoyed the experience. I wish my parents could have been there with me. At least Jorge was there with me. He was my personal sponsor and was up there with me the whole time. :)
Here i am with my sponsor and my other unofficial sponsor. These ladies both would be with me during my classes and would always listen to me and give me advice or guide me.
I am so thankful to have met them. They are great ladies! My sponsor had some beautiful gifts for me which meant a lot. It was so unexpected so I am super grateful she thought of me on my special day. She gave me a necklace representing the holy spirit. Not going to go into details behind it but she told me the holy spirit is with me and I need to keep working with it because it clearly has big plans for me :) It is beautiful!
XOXO,
Lina
